Portrait is often the beginning.

This part of the work is about face, hands, clothing, expression, light and the way a person holds herself in a moment of stillness. It includes Fine Art Portraits, Ethical Portraits, Cultural Portraits & Personal Heritage, Natural Portraits and work in natural surroundings.

For many people, this is the safest and most natural first step.

This direction is softer, more intimate and more atmospheric.

It may include clothing, fabric, swimwear, lingerie, a robe, a quiet hotel room, natural light, a private interior or a feeling of closeness. In my work, boudoir is not about performing sexuality. It is about softness, trust, texture and the feeling of being present in your own body without pressure.

This is often where #FAB begins.

This is the most reduced and sculptural part of the work.

The body is approached as line, shadow, balance, rhythm and form. The face may be visible, turned away, hidden or not recognisable. The image may be implied, non-explicit, classical, staged, natural, outdoor or abstract.

This direction belongs to #FAN and is never expected. It is only explored if it feels right and has been clearly discussed.

Begin with what you feel

Sometimes confidence begins as something much smaller than certainty: a quiet curiosity, a hesitation, a thought that does not quite leave you alone.

You do not need to know how to pose. You do not need to feel fearless. We begin slowly, with light, breath, small movements and trust.
